Two Vehicle Crash Leads to Deaths of Two Men

On Thursday morning, July 28, a two vehicle crash in Lowndes Country led to the deaths of two men.

According to the Georgia State Patrol the accident happened at around 7.35 a.m. when a Dodge Ram, being driven by 32 year old Henry Dubose of Valdosta, was traveling south on White Water Road and a Toyota Tundra, being driven by 43 year old John Foelker of Lake Park was traveling north, near the intersection of Idlewood Drive. As both of the vehicles were negotiating a curve in the road, the Toyota Tundra left its lane and traveled into the southbound lane, smashing into the Dodge Ram head-on.

Foelker was pronounced deceased at the scene and Dubose was transported to South Georgia Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries.

According to the Georgia State Patrol neither driver was wearing a seat belt.

The accident is still under investigation but troopers do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a contributing factor in the crash although the results of toxicology are still awaited.
